Kitty doesn't tag often, but foam tags allow her to leave a mark that can be easily removed, and they take on a three dimensional aspect that is asthetically more pleasing. Everyone loves stickers! And there a thousands of Ghetto Kitty stickers on record boxes, street signs and in locations you will only notice them if you are looking for them.
Often blank spaces call for words to stop the passer by a moment and think. Armed with a marker, Kitty is happy to oblige. :)
